Aeration

Mr. Green Glove Organics Aeration includes winterizing treatment. The benefits of professional aeration treatment, many grasses accumulate thatch at the soil surface. Thatch is a layer of living and dead stems, leaves, and roots of grasses that can develop between the actively growing vegetation and the soil surface. An excessive thatch layer increases the disease susceptibility of the turf, reduces tolerance to drought, cold, and heat, and minimizes the movement of air, water, and nutrients through the turf into the soil. Thatch also decreases the turf's capacity for growth, resulting in an all-round deterioration of lawn quality. Some buildup of thatch is desirable, however, because it provides a source of nutrients from the breakdown of organic matter. The buildup of thatch is directly related to the rate at which dead plant materials accumulate. Turf grasses in compacted soils grow slowly if at all and lack vigor. Compaction greatly reduces the pore space within the soil that would normally hold air. The root zone requires oxygen to grow and absorb nutrients and water.  Compaction has a negative impact on nutrient uptake and water infiltration, in addition it creates barrier to root growth. This results in poor top growth and lawn deterioration. Core aeration can benefit your lawn by:

During the spring and summer we monitor your landscape, watering in specified depleted nutrients (for your lawn, plants and trees), and weeding and pest control.

Mr. Green Glove has a winterizing service that focuses on your fungal and pest problems. Organic nutrients used will feed the microorganisms, improve water transportation, create a strong and resistant root zone, employ growth regulator, beneficial trace minerals and enzymes, and high in hormonal organism properties. This winterizing monthly service also feeds the microbes through the fall and will give you a head start on a picturesque spring.
